Pyxium is a learning platform that provides a free, trustworthy social justice education for everybody. Each course on offer features evidence-based content curated by experts in their field, from race and religion to human rights and the environment.
Pyxium also allows its users to accumulate ‘pyxies’ – a unit of virtual currency to spend in the platform’s marketplace – as courses are completed.
Capella was tasked to create a brand identity and tone of voice for Pyxium that communicated a seamless blend of fun, transparency, respect and trust.

Hey there! We’re Pyxium, the free social justice learning platform.
We’re on a mission to create a fairer world.
People everywhere face discrimination every day based on their race, gender, class status sexual orientation, age, disability status, religion, body size and more. They’re prevented from reaching their full potential by things they can’t control, and haven’t decided. This doesn’t sound fair to us, and we want to do something about it.
We’re more than just a place to read about these issues; we’re a community of people learning about, discussing and addressing all social justice issues in the world today, made accessible to everyone, for free, forever.
We’ve got a full library of social justice courses created by subject-matter experts. Each course is carefully designed to be as accessible and accurate as possible, and uses proven learning methods to ensure you’re not just seeing information, but taking it all in, too.
You’ll also find more courses on different topics, from health and wellbeing to personal development and scientific concepts; all free, and all created with care, love and your ability to learn in mind.
We believe learning has value, and this principle is ingrained into what we do. That’s why on Pyxium, every time you answer a question right you get a ‘pyxy’; a unit of our virtual currency you can use to purchase items from our marketplace. Think of pyxies as not just points or XP, but points you can use to buy real world products and services 🤯
